When is the reminder sent?
24 hours before the visit. If the guest booked later than that, the reminder goes at 8:00 on the day of the visit. Bookings made on the day itself don’t get a reminder.
Guests get their confirmation by text when they book, then a reminder 24 hours before with a link to change or cancel. Texts go out in the guest’s language, and never between 9 pm and 8 am.

Why texts
Many no-shows are guests who forgot, or whose plans changed and who didn’t want to call. A short text with a cancel link solves both.
A text shows on the lock screen between runs. An email often waits until the evening.
The link in every booking text lets guests change or cancel without calling you mid-service.
A cancellation the day before can go to your waitlist instead of staying empty.
How it works
Choose which texts go out in Settings → Notifications. AlpineTable sends each one at the right time.
Confirmation
Sent when the guest books. For booking requests, guests get a text when the request arrives and another when you approve it.
Reminder the day before
Sent 24 hours before the visit. Booked later than that? It goes at 8:00 on the day. Same-day bookings don’t get one.
Quiet at night
No reminders between 21:00 and 08:00, and none less than two hours before the visit.
Change or cancel in one tap
Every booking text links to a page where the guest can change or cancel.
Waitlist offers
When you offer a freed-up table, the next party gets a text with a link that holds it for 30 minutes.
Text one guest
Need to say something specific? Send a short text to a guest from the guest book.
